Friendship and Folly

This book is about 125,000 words (or 400 pages), and is written in the third person, in ‘novel’ form–for a reason that is not explained until the end of the book. It gives an account of the Parrys’ time in London in 1805, focusing in large part on their interaction with the Lenox family from Ireland.

Current cover (what can I say? I have recently fallen in love with the art of Hugh Thomson)

Cover of first edition; pretty, but interior full of typos!

Cover of second edition.
